About this estimate

Volume comes from your measurements. The selected allowance is added once. It is not a verified compaction or shrinkage factor, and no loose to compacted conversion is assumed.

You can mix measurement units. We convert them to volume before calculating your material quantity. Feet and miles use international definitions. Gallons mean U.S. liquid gallons.

Weight estimates use a material specific bulk density or a published planning reference. A reference is not a measured density for your delivery. Cubic yards multiplied by pounds per cubic yard, divided by 2,000, gives U.S. short tons. A density for one material is not applied to another.
